Floral Stamping

Hi! Sometimes I get so caught up in a manicure that I start to over-complicate things. Adding glitter, more colors, making decals, accenting with dots, etc that I forget how nice something clean and simple can be. Does that happen to you? Do you ever get to a certain point and think you should have stopped while you were ahead? For this manicure I did just that. I decided to stop and just enjoy a simple stamped look...

To create this manicure, I started out with a base of the deep purple OPI A Grape Affair. I really adore this shade for fall. For the silver stamping, I used OPI My Signature is "DC" from the same collection. In the bottle, the silver looks perfect for stamping so I had to test it out. As you can see, it did a decent job, but it does turn out grainy since this lacquer appears to be made up of tiny silver flecks...

The floral pattern in this manicure is from plate QA83 which was sent to me for review from the Born Pretty Store. It is item #14210 if you are interested in picking one up for yourself. I tried out all 4 of the full size images on this plate and they stamped perfectly despite the grainy polish that I used. I would definitely recommend this plate and for just a couple of dollars, you can't go wrong. You can also use the code AG5J61 for 10% off your order.

The plate itself comes with a blue protective film which needs to be removed prior to use. The back of the plate is also covered in the same blue film which is meant to be left on the plate. This helps dull the otherwise sharp plate edges. These floral patterns are fun to mix and match. The full size images are a good size measuring 15mm x 20mm

Thanks for looking!
