To my friends and to some people I've known who are, have just become, or will become parents of these new generation kids, I'm sharing this yet-to-be-titled piece of junk ;) (I wrote this after work at 3 am. Why did I bother writing this--not to mention with my already frayed brain--is another question). I wish them luck... to quote Han Solo, you gotta need it! (hehehehe)

How the world turns around with a speeding spin?
It's seen from the tiny wrinkles in your budding skin
Your own day is reserved ahead, yet you've grabbed it now within a tick
New and fast is good, but don't they sometimes make you sick?
"Because," you reason, "I need to catch up with them very fast
Otherwise, I'd wind up this rapid race at the very, very last
Besides, you've said that I should never arrive from afar
To not only glimpse at but also to win to brightest stars."
Yet, I go, it's not wholly evil matter to raise your head above the water
Or to win your own race or any fierce battle
But honey, you're too sweet, fragile and tender,
Watch your own pace, else your knees will run brittle
And honey, all that's shiny, stylish and new,
I mean, it's all fine for me; and it's all brilliant for you
Yet don't let them flourish too much inside your mind
Else, you'll end up prematurely and permanently blind
To the gentle wind that whispers in your ears,
And the gentle breaths of our smiling peers,
To the rustic basics that will stay within us always
New and fast is always good, but simple will ever win the day
Honey, learn to live your own day as you grow
Grow as you should do, but not as old to knit your brows
Your youthful sweetness shouldn't have died
To explore this webbed world wide...
PS. Recently Cat gave it a title: "The Speed of Growth".
Passed! =D
