Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi finally got to enjoy a night out in public together on Tuesday, the day after their engagement was aired to the nation.
The stars of The Bachelor headed to chic French restaurant Republique in Los Angeles where they were snapped flashing big grins and hugging for cameras.
Nick, 36, ended up choosing the Montreal-born beauty out of an original 30 contestants on the ABC show, which concluded on Monday night.
Nick kept it casual in a checked shirt and jeans while Vanessa, 29, teamed a white t-shirt with skinny jeans and a trendy leather jacket.
The special education teacher carried a pricey large Celine handbag to complete her look.
The date night came as it's claimed the couple have a volatile relationship.
A source revealed to Us Weekly on Wednesday that the duo 'want to be in it for the long run,' but both have very strong personalities.
Since filming of the show wrapped in November, the couple have reportedly struggled with issues such as Vanessa's jealousy and where they plan to live together.
'She's had a hard time seeing Nick romancing all these other women,' a show source said of Vanessa, who tuned in to watch Nick get cozy with her love rivals including wild child Corinne Olympios, lawyer Rachel Lindsay who Nick said he had 'explosive' chemistry with and runner-up Raven Gates.
In the After The Final Rose live show on Monday night, which aired after Nick and Vanessa's proposal was shown, Vanessa revealed her concerns about the couple's relationship.
'We love each other,' she told host Chris Harrison, 'but there have been days that have been difficult.'
